Sunday, October 5 was the opening reception for Creative Tension at the Perkins Center for the Arts. The day was sunny and the galleries were with sunlight. When you walk in to Perkins and look up the staircase, you immediately see (Annealing) Strata of Memories. This location although on a staircase was perfect because of the way the light reflects off of the gold leaf.
My other two pieces are hung together in an upstairs gallery. You Are Here Now and Liminal Space flank a piano. This room had several other pieces that were more sutble in subject matter and I felt like all of the works complemented each other well.
I want to thank everyone who came out to the reception today. It was an honor to be selected as part of this show and I appreciate all of the support my family and friends continue to give to me.
