I suffer from bipolar disorder and the last few months I had a horrible depressive episode during which I almost committed suicide. The world was all blackness and grayness during that period, and I felt suffocated by this dark oppressive cloud of depression. I feel like this painting really captures depression, and really captures the emotions I when I was depressed.
